                                            Cortisol
I researched Cortisol! I wondered to myself do I have adrenal insufficiency? 
I feel I have chronic stress and I read that it could lead to adrenal insufficiency. 
I think most of us feel that are hormone created our life into a mess. 
So I paused for a moment wondering what the function was of the adrenal gland.
I went back and looked up the function and it was regulating the metabolism, 
blood pressure. immune function and stress responses. 

Cortisol affects many areas of your health,
The biggest job is regulating your stress responses. 
The hormone is a steroid producing Cortisol. 
The adrenal sits on your kidney. 
You can high or low levels and I pretty sure mine are low. 

 Glucocorticoid is a type hormone of steroid. 
Cortisol is made in your adrenal glands make and release through out your body. 
I personally would not have thought of cortisol in dealing with my stress. 
It makes senses to me that it would be an essential hormone. 
 And every organ most likely is stress out after my experience of Mercury poisoning
and tissue in your body. It plays many other important roles, including:

What is cortisol? 

  • Regulating how your body uses glucose (sugar) for energy
  • Decreasing inflammation
  • Regulating blood pressure
  • Helping control your sleep-wake cycle
  • And I sure automatic nervous center.
Your body is always looking homeostasis means well being. 
I can really see why High or low energy might play a part in our energy levels too. 
To much of anything is not good to high levels need to not be high. 
My goal starting this Cortisol is to find balance keep track to how I feel. 

I think Doctor might say it inflammation. I am taking plant based. 
So I know mine is inflammation is high every thing is feeling stress.  
I want to monitors my cortisol levels to maintain steady levels High or low.
I feel I have a ways to go to bring the level up and understand what I need to take
How much is the cortisol levels can be harmful to your health. 
I will call my doctor to find out. 

I learned that cortisol a stress hormone!

I learned it is the key role in managing your body’s stress response. 
Yikes the body releases cortisol when you experience any of the following 
types of stress:
What other functions does cortisol have? 

How does cortisol affect my body?

Cortisol aids every organ system in our body. 
It regulate a few key functions.

Your body’s stress response are regulated. 

Who does have stress is the question. 
Who has not dealt with fight or flight” people 
actually handle this with adrenaline lowering. 
I always say I can tell my adrenaline rush is lowering. 

Your body can release cortisol after releasing its  
I have had high alert for long periods of time. 
I believe that I can say I am triggered to the release of sugar from the liver. 

This provides fast energy during times of stress and weight gain. 

Regulating the blood sugar levels is the metabolism. 

The function is said to be the chemical processes in your body.                                                 They said with out this you body will not live. 


Cortisol is only one function processing in the body at all times. 
Now how does one figure out stress and sugar in my world stress
is first before I eat comfort food. 
 
Pancreas makes the insulin for my pancreas be sure to be check for 
that parities that created type two. I regulate mine with honey and cinnamon
I eat on time because I learned that I get angry when my sugar is low.  
Glucagon raises it. Wonderful! 

I want to add not getting my way will raise my sugar level from the liver. 
My goal is to use the honey with Cinnamon for pancreas
Eating on time for my liver. 
Taking the Cortisol to see if will regulate glucose energy for me to aid in weight loss. 

Cortisol also acts on other to manage glucose use, including your:

Goal Inflammation needs to be suppressed 

Pro: Cortisol can boost immunity by balancing. 
Con: Coritsol can raise your blood pressure because it monitors it. 
 
Sleep Wake Cycle 
Circadian rhythm and how your body wakes up
Noted I have issues with this. 
The low levels of this rhythm is night lower and higher in the early morning.

The human body control cortisol levels

Enters the hypothalamus and pituitary gland monitors cortisol production in                          your adrenal glands.  

  1. When the cortisol level in your blood falls, your hypothalamus releases corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH).
  2. This directs your pituitary gland to make adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH).
  3. ACTH then triggers your adrenal glands to make and release cortisol.
I want to have every thing functioning correctly.  
Levels need cortisol: your adrenal glands, pituitary gland and hypothalamus,

What causes high levels of cortisol?

I've been worried about Cushing syndrome. 
I do not have high levels of cortisol 
causing this. (hypercortisolism) 
I have high inflammation! 
Pay attention to this! I going to do natural not pharmacy! 
Below I added drugs that might want to check side affects. 

Here is what I found on cortisol levels and Cushing syndrome include:

  • Taking high doses of corticosteroid medications, like prednisone
  • prednisolone or dexamethasone
  • Tumors that produce ACTH — usually in your pituitary gland
  • Adrenal gland tumors that cause excess cortisol.

  • Call a doctor at the first sign of high or low levels of cortisol 
  •  
    Symptoms of low cortisol levels can include:
    • Fatigue
    • Unintentional weight loss
    • Loss of appetite
    • Low blood pressure
    • When should I see my healthcare provider about my cortisol levels?
    • Get quality sleep. Chronic sleep issues, like insomnia or working a 
    • night shift, can cause higher cortisol levels.
    • Move your body. Regular physical activity helps improve sleep 
    • quality and reduce stress.
    • Practice deep breathing exercises
    • Controlled breathing helps stimulate your 
    • parasympathetic nervous system, your “rest and digest” system. 
    • This helps lower cortisol levels.
    • Enjoy yourself and laugh
    • Laughing promotes the release of endorphins and 
    • suppresses cortisol. Participating in fun activities can 
    • also promote feelings of well-being.
    • Maintain healthy relationships
    • Having tense and unhealthy relationships can cause frequent stress.
